Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work, such as keeping you logged in. Others are used to measure visits or show adverts. The law in the UK and elsewhere requires websites to ask before setting cookies that are not strictly necessary.
When you visit pads-app.com to read about PADS, download the app or contact support, we do not set any cookies in your browser. There are no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies on the site.
Our content delivery network, Cloudflare, protects the site from attacks. [Developer to confirm whether Cloudflare sets any strictly necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm, and list them here if so.]
Our web host and Cloudflare keep standard server logs to keep the site secure. These are not cookies and are described in our Privacy policy.
The website runs on WordPress. When a member of our team logs in to update the site, WordPress sets a few strictly necessary cookies in that person’s browser. These are never set for ordinary visitors.
Browsers also let websites store information in other ways, such as local storage. pads-app.com does not use local storage, session storage, pixels or fingerprinting to recognise visitors. [Developer to confirm once the site is final.]
We do not currently measure visits to the site. If we ever add analytics, we will choose a privacy-respecting tool, update this page first, and ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. [If an analytics tool is chosen before launch, name it here with its cookies and how long they last.]
The PADS app does not use cookies. What you write is stored on your phone, encrypted. The app does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites. How the app handles information is explained in our Privacy policy.
As we set no cookies for visitors, there is nothing you need to accept or turn off to use pads-app.com. You can still block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will work as normal for visitors if you do.
If we change how the site uses cookies, we will update this page before the change takes effect and, where needed, ask for your consent first. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
